Late Harvest wine

The 1st March 1984 decree established the designation of « Late Harvest wine » and « Noble Grap Selection » which represent the Grands Crus, allowing diversity and quality of the Alsatian wine growing.
To obtain those mentions, the Registered designation origin Alsatian wines, as well as the Great Vintages have to respect very strict rules, between them :
- Picking-up manually.
- Only from Riesling, Greu Pinot, Gewurztraminer and Muscat vineyards. The potential degrees are regulated and vary in function of the mentions.
- Modifying these wines is strictly forbidden.
- The wines have to be vintaged and controlled. The selling of these wines takes place 18 months after the bottle-filling.
